Purpose and responsibility
The Canadian FOI Evidence Commons gathers and organizes freedom-of-information records, access-to-information records, Order Paper Question responses, research, and other public-interest documents. Users remain responsible for evaluating information and obtaining professional advice when needed.
Accuracy and availability
We try to preserve records accurately and correct errors brought to our attention, but we do not guarantee that every record, description, link, or service will always be complete, current, accurate, or available. Source documents should be checked against their issuing institution where a decision depends on them.
Copyright and permitted submissions
Copyright and other rights in source documents remain with their respective owners. Contributors must submit only material they are entitled to share. Site-created text, metadata, and software are governed by the licence or notice displayed with that material.
External links and services
Links to governments, publishers, Nextcloud, and other external services are provided for convenience. Their content, security, availability, and privacy practices are controlled by their respective operators.
Corrections and removal requests
To report an error, privacy concern, unlawful material, or rights issue, use the contact form. Please identify the affected page or document and explain the concern. Requests will be reviewed; removal is not automatic where preservation and lawful public access remain appropriate.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties and its operators are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on the site, interruption of service, third-party content, or external links.
