Privacy policy
Information we collect
Public browsing may produce ordinary server logs such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. Account, contact, upload, and contribution features may collect a login name, display name, email address, password hash, messages, submitted files, metadata, and an activity or audit history.
How information is used
Information is used to provide accounts and password recovery, receive and review contributions, maintain provenance, respond to messages, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, preserve records, and protect the service.
Public contributions
Approved records, metadata, contributor identifiers or display names, and activity associated with public contributions may become public. Do not upload private, confidential, restricted, or unlawfully disclosed personal information. Internal listing and FOI Cloud intake areas are not confidential-document vaults.
Cookies and sessions
The site uses essential session cookies for authentication, security, and language preferences. These are not intended for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Service providers and external links
Hosting, email, and FOI Cloud services process information as needed to provide their functions. External websites have their own privacy practices. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and safeguards
Account, contribution, audit, and security records are retained as reasonably needed for operation, accountability, legal obligations, and recovery. Safeguards include access controls, password hashing, protected internal files, secure sessions, and restricted administrative functions. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask about personal information associated with your account, request a reasonable correction, or raise a privacy concern through the contact form. Some information may need to be retained to preserve public records, provenance, security, or legal obligations.
Policy changes
This policy may be revised as the service evolves. The date above identifies the current version.
